New Yorker Jojee puts on a sultry showing on her debut original track, 'I Don't Give A'. "We're behind closed doors, we're behind closed doors / and I know you want me," she whispers over tenderly clinking percussion, trembling piano chords and candle-flicker guitars. It's a seductive slow-burner which keeps you gripped from start to finish. Interestingly, the beautifully unassuming production comes courtesy of (usually) bombastic knob-twiddler Mickey Valen, known for his powerhouse remixes of Seinabo Sey and Lorde among others. If Jojee can tame even Valen's wild streak, there's no telling what she's capable of next. - DC
